Dear TMSA Families,
The Main Street Academy will be celebrating Cinco De Mayo on Thursday, May 5, 2022. This celebration will take place in the afternoon after Georgia Milestones testing. The classes will participate in different activities on the grade level. The grade level activities include the history of Cinco de Mayo, making crafts, Mexican hat dance, and the flag of Mexico.
We are asking for any authentic Mexican artifacts to display during the celebration. Some examples include musical instruments, rugs, hats, colorful pottery, dolls, maps, coins, etc. Please label any artifacts with your name (first and last), child’s name (first and last) and the grade level so that we can return the artifact to you.
Please send in artifacts beginning April 25, 2022, to Dr. Dedmond.
