Exceptional Children's Week at TMSA

Exceptional Children's Week

Founded in 1922, the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving the success of children and youth with disabilities and/or gifts and talents. The CEC has local Units in all 50 states, including Georgia.

The Main Street Academy is celebrating the CEC's 100th anniversary during Exceptional Children's Week, March 7 - 11, 2022. TMSA students who receive SEC services will enjoy cotton candy on Monday, March 7 and watch a movie (based on overcoming adversity), accompanied with popcorn and snow cones, on Thursday, March 10. Throughout Exceptional Children's Week, books highlighting celebrities who have disabilities will be on display inside TMSA's media center.
