Greetings TMSA Community,

This past August, Fulton County Schools announced its district charter schools, including The Main Street Academy, had the flexibility to offer a virtual instruction option to students during the first semester of the 2021 – 2022 academic school year. The Main Street Academy utilized this virtual instruction option to offer greater health and safety precautions to our students as our communities experienced high-level COVID cases at the onset of the new school year.

Recently, Fulton County Schools (the authorizer of our school's charter) officially announced the virtual instruction option will not be extended to charter schools during the second semester of the 2021 – 2022 academic school year. Next second semester, beginning Tuesday, January 4, 2022, all TMSA scholars (K – 8) are required to return to campus and receive traditional face-to-face instruction. With enhanced on-site COVID surveillance testing, more COVID vaccinations options for expanded age groups, and our school’s mitigation strategies, TMSA will continue to safeguard our scholars as new COVID variants emerge, and potentially new cases arise.

Thank you,

TMSA Administrative Team
