Virtual Instruction Continues November 15 - 19, 2021

November 10, 2021

Dear TMSA Parents, Guardians, Teachers, and Staff –

Due to matters outside of our school’s control, the abatement segment of the water leak repairs project timeline was delayed. The abatement process, which is expected to occur for two weeks, was initiated today. As a result, virtual instruction for all TMSA students (K – 8) will continue throughout next week, November 15 – 19, 2021. Our expectation is for students to return to campus for face-to-face instruction after Thanksgiving Break. Although school is closed during Thanksgiving Break, November 21 - 25, 2021, the abatement process will continue.

We are very eager for students to safely return to campus for face-to-face instruction. However, during the interim, we are improving virtual instruction. Students will receive more rigorous and engaging instruction and school administrators are conducting virtual walkthroughs to monitor teaching and learning. Attendance will be taken at all classes.

Important reminders:

  • Students in grades 3 – 8 will continue to take their Write Score assessments through this Friday.
  • The PTO’s fruit fundraiser is still underway, and orders are due on or by November 11, 2021.
  • Local food pantries are available for TMSA families.
  • TMSA’s Virtual Hotline is open during virtual instruction.
  • TMSA’s school lobby is open the week of November 15th from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

We appreciate your continued support, patience and flexibility.

Thank you,

The TMSA Administrative Team
