The Main Street Academy’s Governing Board met on Monday, April 12, 2021 to announce the resignation of Principal Parker effective June 30, 2021. Please join us in thanking Principal Parker for her years of service and leadership at TMSA.
In order to facilitate and ensure a smooth transition of leadership, the Governing Board elected former Board member and Reopening Committee Chair, Mr. Ishmael Abdul-Salaam as Managing Principal, today, effective April 13, 2021.
This is a time of great transition; however, we will all continue to work together to ensure TMSA accomplishes its mission. We appreciate your support and look forward to continuing to provide the best education and supportive community for all.
This transition will not affect the school’s 4th quarter re-opening date scheduled for Monday, April 19, 2021 nor the upcoming Milestones testing. Updated information regarding these and other important TMSA events will be shared soon.
In the meantime, please join us in welcoming Mr. Abdul-Salaam as The Main Street Academy’s Managing Principal.
