TMSA applauds the creativity and tenacity of our third grade teachers as they took to their own backyards, during the school's recent campus closure, and created outdoor science labs to virtually teach their students about rocks and soils. Currently, TMSA's third grade scholars are learning about different soils based on color, texture and water retention (S3E1).
Special thanks to TMSA parents and guardians for supporting the virtual, outdoor science labs and their willingness to obtain supplies and literally get "down and dirty" with students.
In math class, 3rd grade scholars have been exploring the concept of area by observing kitchen and bathroom floors (MGSE3.MD.6). They are also enjoying using every dat household materials, such as bowls and cups, to gain hands-on experiences as they explore division (GSE3.OA.6). #MakingConnections #MathCounts
