The Main Street Academy is a public charter school located in College Park, Georgia. TMSA is different because we are a family. Me and the other educators in this building take our jobs very seriously. We are an extension of the parents. I like the feel when I walk into the school. I like the project based learning. We try to  be unique. We try to make our teaching engaging, enthusiastic and enjoying. I choose to join the staff at TMSA because I wanted to broaden my horizons as an educator. Joining the staff at TMSA was the right choice for me because it gave me a sense of belonging. We have a really great community garden. We have a really nice arts program...performing and visual arts. Sometimes when I'm out on break, I wish I could go back to school during break. We have some students who have been here since kindergarten and we're all able to be a part of their family and watch them grow up into 8th graders. And we'll still be connected when they get to high school. I think parents should say, "Yes to TMSA!" Kids need to know that their parents at home, as well as their teachers at school, and the administration are all here for them. We truly want to lead  the way by being innovative. Being on the cutting edge. Using the technology in our area. We take a different approach to education. We have our school-wide Enrichment Model that allows students to tap into talents outside of their academics. Long-term we want to develop our students to be positive, productive and global citizens. ...and that's what we're striving to do with our well-rounded curriculum.
