Ms. Thomas' Biography
Janay Thomas was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and graduated from Creekside High School. She attended Valdosta State University, where she pursued Nursing, and later continued her education with the goal of becoming a certified teacher.
Janay believes that every student can learn when they are supported, encouraged, and provided with a positive learning environment. She is committed to fostering a classroom where students feel safe, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
Outside of work, Janay enjoys reading the Bible, spending time with family, listening to music, and caring for her French Bulldog. A fun fact about Janay is that she attended The Main Street Academy from first through fifth grade when the school was located on East Main Street. She is excited to now be part of The Main Street Academy community in a new role, supporting students as a paraprofessional while working toward becoming a certified teacher.
