'Brains Behind the Main' Scholars Engage in Interactive Lessons, Discussions, and Leadership Activities

The Main Street Academy’s (TMSA) Brains Behind the Main (BBTM) student leadership program continues to provide scholars with meaningful opportunities to develop critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills.

Through interactive lessons and collaborative activities, students are encouraged to explore different perspectives, express their opinions, and engage in thoughtful discussions with their peers.

Recent BBTM lessons have included video-based learning and classroom discussions, allowing students to reflect on important topics, respond to discussion questions, and share their thoughts and perspectives. Students have also participated in engaging activities such as Four Corners, where they consider different scenarios, evaluate their viewpoints, and identify the responses that best represent their beliefs.

These experiences reinforce the importance of respectful communication, independent thinking, and learning from others. By creating opportunities for students to speak up, listen, and thoughtfully engage with their classmates, BBTM helps empower scholars to become confident, responsible, and influential leaders.
