The Main Street Academy (TMSA) kicked off its first Partnering for Success Parent University session of the 2026–2027 school year, welcoming families of students in kindergarten through second grade for an engaging workshop focused on making learning a part of everyday life at home.
During the session, parents and families explored how everyday activities can become meaningful learning experiences for their children. Teachers shared examples of concepts and skills being taught at each grade level, giving families a better understanding of what their children are learning in the classroom. Attendees also had the opportunity to connect with kindergarten, first-grade, and second-grade teachers, ask questions, and gain practical ideas for supporting their children's academic growth at home.
The fun did not stop with learning! Three lucky families had the opportunity to win raffle baskets filled with treats, educational games, and resources designed to make learning enjoyable at home.
TMSA extends a heartfelt thank-you to all the parents and families who attended and participated in this first session. A special shout-out goes to Ms. Hatchett and Assistant Principal Adebisi for launching Parent University and helping strengthen the partnership between home and school.
The Partnering for Success Parent University series will continue with upcoming sessions for third through fifth grade, followed by sixth through eighth grade. Families are encouraged to stay tuned to their child's grade-level ClassDojo for announcements and details about upcoming sessions.
At TMSA, partnering with families is an essential part of student success. Together, we can make learning a rewarding experience both inside and outside the classroom!
