Students in The Main Street Academy’s 'Celebrations' SEM created colorful piñatas in recognition of National Hispanic Heritage Month. The creative activity gave students an opportunity to celebrate and explore Hispanic and Latino culture through hands-on learning.
Before creating their piñatas, students learned about the history and significance of National Hispanic Heritage Month and why it is celebrated. Through the activity, students combined creativity with cultural learning while developing a greater appreciation for the rich traditions and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities.
