On April 4th, schools nationwide will observe National School Librarian Day—a special opportunity to recognize the dedicated professionals who play a vital role in student success. At The Main Street Academy (TMSA), we are proud to celebrate our exceptional Media Specialist, Sabrina Carnell, whose impact is felt throughout our entire school community.
School librarians are far more than stewards of books—they are instructional partners, literacy advocates, and information experts. Ms. Carnell exemplifies this role daily by helping students develop critical research skills, navigate digital and print resources, and become confident, independent learners. In an ever-evolving information landscape, her guidance equips students with tools they will use for a lifetime.
At TMSA, Ms. Carnell also fosters a culture of reading and curiosity. Through thoughtfully curated collections and engaging library experiences, she encourages students to explore new ideas, discover diverse voices, and build a genuine love for reading. Her work ensures that every student has access to materials that both support their academic growth and spark their imagination.
Beyond the media center, Ms. Carnell collaborates closely with teachers to enhance classroom instruction and align resources with curriculum goals. She helps create meaningful learning experiences that extend beyond textbooks, making the library a hub of innovation and discovery within the school.
We proudly celebrate Ms. Carnell and thank her for helping our students grow as readers, researchers, and lifelong learners.
