The Main Street Academy (TMSA) has officially begun the selection process for the National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) for the 2026-2027 school year. These prestigious organizations recognize students who demonstrate excellence not only in academics but also in leadership, character, service, and citizenship.
Eligibility
- Candidate must have attended the school for at least one (1) semester.
- Candidate must be in grades 4-8 to be eligible.
- Candidate must possess a GPA of 85 or a “b” average.
Beyond academic achievement, candidates are evaluated on the core pillars that define the honor societies:
- Service
- Leadership
- Citizenship
- Character
- Scholarship
Students selected for membership exemplify these qualities both inside and outside the classroom and serve as role models within the school community.
The 2026 selection process began on March 9, 2026, and the induction of new members will take place on March 24, 2026. This milestone event celebrates students who have demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence and positive leadership within The Main Street Academy community.
