TMSA Launches “Breakfast Battle” for National School Breakfast Week

The Main Street Academy (TMSA) is turning mornings into a celebration of energy, engagement, and healthy habits during National School Breakfast Week, March 2-6, 2026. Designed to promote the School Breakfast Program (SBP), this year’s campaign features an exciting “Breakfast Battle: Class vs. Class” challenge aimed at increasing student participation and reinforcing the importance of starting the day with a nutritious meal.

Throughout the week, K–8 students will compete for the title of “Breakfast Champions.” The class with the highest participation percentage in the School Breakfast Program will win a special prize: a cookie party sponsored by School Nutrition. This friendly competition is designed not only to build excitement, but to encourage consistent breakfast habits—especially among students who may typically skip the morning meal.

Why Breakfast Matters

Research consistently shows that students who eat breakfast demonstrate improved concentration, stronger academic performance, better attendance, and more positive classroom behavior. National School Breakfast Week provides an opportunity to remind students and families that breakfast is essential fuel for learning.

The campaign’s rallying message—“Jets Don’t Skip. Jets Fuel Up. Jets Win!”—reflects the Academy’s commitment to student wellness and academic success. When students fuel their bodies, they position themselves to perform at their best.
