The Main Street Academy (TMSA) is proud to honor Black History Month with a special week of engaging and meaningful activities designed to celebrate culture, achievement, and history across our campus community.
From February 18 through February 26, students will experience the TMSA Black History Museum, where bulletin boards throughout the school will “tell the story,” highlighting influential figures, historical moments, and cultural contributions that have shaped our world.
On Friday, February 20, scholars are invited to participate in HBCU Day by wearing their favorite Historically Black College and University shirts or sweaters with uniform bottoms.
Please note: Scholars must wear their uniform bottoms with an HBCU shirt to participate in the parade.
The celebration will continue on February 26 with the Black History Program. The week will conclude on February 27 with a Soulful Supper.
Through these events, TMSA students will not only learn about history but experience it in ways that encourage pride, understanding, and appreciation for the individuals and movements that have made lasting contributions to society.
