Fifth-grade students at The Main Street Academy (TMSA) recently participated in a Professional World of Nutrition presentation that highlighted connections between nutrition and everyday math skills. The session focused on how fractions are used within the nutrition industry, helping students make real-world connections to concepts they learn in the classroom.
The presentation was led by TMSA School Nutrition Coordinator, Rodrick Members, who shared insights into the field of nutrition and discussed how math plays a role in the work. Students were engaged throughout the presentation and had the opportunity to ask questions and participate in the discussion.
