The Main Street Academy (TMSA) 6th–8th grade agriculture classes partnered with Trees Atlanta for a hands-on tree planting project to expand our school orchard. Students helped plant persimmon, serviceberry, and several flowering pollinator trees, learning firsthand how trees support local ecosystems and improve the environment.
Throughout the day, students dug, planted, and discussed how trees benefit air quality, provide food for wildlife, and help create a more sustainable future. This collaboration with Trees Atlanta gave our students an opportunity to make a lasting impact on our campus and community while deepening their understanding of environmental stewardship.
