City of College Park Fire Department Visits TMSA

The Main Street Academy (TMSA) welcomed members of the City of College Park Fire Department for an engaging and educational visit with kindergarten and first grade scholars.

College Park Fire Rescue's Sergeant John Grier, Firefighter Kelton Brackett, and Firefighter Antonio Cousins arrived on campus with their fire truck, allowing students to explore the vehicle and learn about the specialized equipment used in fire safety and emergency response. The firefighters also spoke with scholars about the responsibilities of their profession and the importance of community safety.

As part of the visit, Fire Chief Sterling Jones also read to kindergarten and first grade students, adding an enriching literacy component to the day’s activities.

TMSA extends its sincere appreciation to Chief Jones and to the firefighters who made this event possible: Sgt. Grier, Firefighter Brackett, and Firefighter Cousins. Their service and dedication provided scholars with an unforgettable learning experience and a deeper understanding of the vital role firefighters play in the community.
