The Main Street Academy (TMSA) had the honor of welcoming City of College Park, Georgia, Mayor Bianca Motley-Broom to campus. Her visit highlighted the importance of literacy, community connections, and student-led learning.
As part of TMSA’s “We Read Here” initiative, Mayor Motley-Broom read aloud to our kindergarten and first grade students. Her engaging storytelling sparked excitement among our youngest scholars, encouraging them to see reading as both fun and essential to learning.
Mayor Motley-Broom also met with our third grade students to support their Project-Based Learning (PBL) project.
Her visit was a special reminder of how schools and local leaders can work together to inspire the next generation. We are grateful to Mayor Motley-Broom for taking the time to invest in our scholars and celebrate the joy of reading and learning at TMSA.
