Fulton County Schools Officials Recognize TMSA 2025-2026 Teacher and Support Professional of the Year

Andrea Cooper Gatewood and Diane Berry of Fulton County Schools visited The Main Street Academy (TMSA) to formally recognize the school’s 2025–2026 Teacher of the Year, Dr. Niesha Cherry and Support Professional of the Year, Ms. Chakeisa Blanton.

Dr. Cherry reflected on the honor, stating, "being recognized as Teacher of the Year is an incredible honor, but more than that, it is a reflection of the passion, dedication, and love I pour into my students every day. This recognition is not just about me - it represents the countless moments of growth, resilience, and success that happen in my classroom. It reaffirms my belief that education has the power to change lives, and I am humbled to be part of that journey."
