Greetings Parents and Guardians,
As we near the finish line of another incredible school year, The Main Street Academy (TMSA) is encouraging families to help students stay present and engaged through the final weeks of school. While testing season often feels like the end of the academic road, school still remains after testing is complete—and every day counts!
Research shows that attendance often dips in May, creating what’s known as the “attendance slump.” TMSA is working to prevent this decline by emphasizing the importance of daily learning and offering practical strategies to keep students motivated.
Our message to families: “We’re almost at the finish line!
Daily Student Reminder:
- Get a good night's rest.
- Come to school on time by 7:30 AM
- Eat a good breakfast.
- Get a great start to your day!
We’re also setting the stage for a summer filled with meaningful activities to keep young minds active.
Below are a few ideas of potential summer learning activities:
- Summer reading bingo or challenges
- Writing letters to friends or family
- Creating personal journals or storybooks
- Picnic-style reading under a tree
- Visits to the library
Let’s work together to maximize learning and end the school year with the same energy and excellence we started with!
Thank you,
Mrs. Lee
