TMSA fourth grades are working hard this semester in all academic areas. In Social Studies, scholars are collaboratively working on their concept-based projects that focus on five Georgia regions, inclusive of developing a budget and itinerary for each region. In Math, scholars are working on solving equations using equivalent fractions. Finally, in Reading, students are targeting nonfiction text structures and working on narrative writing and grammar.
Last month, January 2022, Ms. Philips was awarded the Awesome Standards Based Bulletin Board Certificate based on her fourth grade students' informative writings on the different regions of Georgia!
Most exciting, TMSA's fourth grade team leader, Ms. Graves, was nominated for the Lifechanger of the Year Award! Sponsored by the National Life Group Foundation, LifeChanger of the Year recognizes and rewards the very best K-12 educators and school district employees across the United States who are making a difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence and leadership.
