All TMSA students (K-8) will be taking Write Score next week, February 14 - 18, 2022. The Write Score assessment is conducted to access students' writing skills. For students in grades K-2, Write Score provides the first formal snapshot of their writing abilities. For students in grades 3 - 8, Write Score provides a snapshot of students' writing abilities in alignment with the expectations set forth by the Georgia Milestones. For these reasons, it's is very important for scholars to take their Write Score assessments seriously and perform their best. Teachers will use the Write Score results to improve needed areas and prepare for the homestretch preparation phase of the GMAS that scholars in grades 3 - 8 will take in late April.
It is extremely important for scholar(s) to arrive at school on time on the week of testing. If students arrive to school after the assessment starts, they will have to take the assessment on a make-up day that is listed inside the enclosed schedule. We also encourage students to get a good night's rest and eat a good breakfast. Specific testing information can be obtained from your child's teacher.
