TMSA COVID Protocols the Week of January 24 - 28, 2022

As COVID-19  cases are trending downward in the local community post Winter Break, it is important TMSA  communicate updates and/or changes to COVID-related protocols pertaining to our school. To mitigate the current spread of COVID-19, TMSA will follow the protocols listed below for the week of January 24 - 28, 2022:
  • Mask wear is strongly encouraged for all students, teachers, staff, and visitors on campus.
  • Students will each lunch inside their classrooms (outside is optional, weather permitting).
  • The Governing Board will be hosted virtually.
  • TMSA students (including their immediate families), teachers and staff may test for COVID-19 (PCR) onsite at TMSA on Monday, January 24, 2022 and Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 7:45 a.m - 10:00 a.m.
  • Additional hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the school.
  • Every classroom is stocked with sanitizing wipes, hand sanitizer, desk shields, and emergency masks for students (students should bring extra masks to school).
  • Students are encouraged to bring their personal water bottles to school.
  • Students must not come to school sick. Teachers will gladly work with students to ensure they receive their assignments, etc.
  • All positive COVID-19 test results (taken on-site at TMSA or off offsite) pertaining to TMSA students, teachers and staff should be immediately reported to Nurse Jackson by completing and submitting the electronic Confirmed COVID-19 Case Form.
  • If four or more reported COVID-19 cases per class are officially reported to Nurse Jackson, the class will go into quarantine for 5 days.
  • In and out-of-season athletic and performing arts practices and competitions will continue with participant screening and indoor capacity limitations raised to 30% (Inclusive of the home and opposing teams, cheerleaders, and immediate family members. No additional spectators). Concessions will not be sold at athletic events hosted at TMSA. Basketball players are advised to contact Coach Roberts for their onsite COVID-19 testing schedule.
