Dear TMSA Parents and Guardians,
We trust all scholars are academically thriving during virtual instruction this week. Work crews and vendors are working hard to ensure the water leak repairs are completed efficiently; thus, ensuring our students and staff return to campus for face-to-face instruction in a safe and healthy environment. As the air quality checks are ongoing, the timeline of repairs has changed with the demolishing phase beginning tomorrow and the abatement phase beginning next week. Due to the timeline’s change, virtual instruction for all TMSA students (K – 8) has been extended until Friday, November 12, 2021. We trust this extension will allow your household adequate time to make childcare and virtual instruction arrangements in advance, as we will continue to provide you with ongoing updates.
In total transparency, TMSA’s administrative team truly understands the extension of virtual instruction may not be optimal for your household as we truly want students back on campus receiving face-to-face instruction. During the interim, we invite all TMSA families to take advantage of the following services and resources:
- TMSA’s Food Services Department is offering weekly meal (breakfast and lunch) pick up services from campus based on familial interest. If your family is interested in this weekly service, please complete and submit the Food Interest Form as soon as possible as deadlines apply.
- Letzler, School Counselor, is offering virtual meetings with students. TMSA teachers, students and parents/guardians, click here to schedule virtual meetings with Ms. Letzler.
- The following local childcare centers are providing emergency childcare and virtual assistance during TMSA’s campus closure. Mention “TMSA” to receive discounted pricing:

Additionally, please note the following important date changes and updates:
- The PSAT for 8th-grade students originally scheduled on November 13, 2021, has been postponed until further notice.
- Saturday School has been postponed until December.
- Students participating in TMSA extracurricular activities (sports, music, etc.) will receive schedule updates directly from their respective coaches and teachers.
- Thursday, November 4, 2021: Schoolwide asynchronous learning day.
- Friday, November 5, 2021: No school/virtual classes. All Fulton County Schools are closed in celebration of the Braves – 2021 World Series Champions. TMSA virtual classes will resume on Monday, November 8th.
TMSA’s Virtual Hotline will remain open during virtual instruction. Students are required to attend their classes virtually as scheduled (attendance will be taken). Scholars are required to wear their TMSA uniforms during all virtual classes.
TMSA’s lobby area will be open during virtual instruction, Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (excluding Friday, Nov. 5th).
As the Atlanta Braves persevered through many obstacles to become the 2021 World Series Champions, TMSA will also persevere to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff.
