TMSA Campus Closing Update

October 18, 2021

Good Afternoon TMSA Families,

Regrettably, due to a water leak inside our school that possibly occurred over the weekend, all TMSA students (K - 8) will not report to campus for the remainder of this week (October 19 - 22, 2021) and will return to campus next Monday, October 25, 2021. If any additional delays occur, you will be notified accordingly.

Virtual instruction will occur October 19 - 22, 2021 for all TMSA students (K - 8). Virtual instruction will occur as currently reflected on your student's class schedule.  Please access OTUS daily to obtain the links your student will need to virtually attend classes. Please access TMSA's Virtual Hotline daily from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. if your student requires assistance accessing his/her virtual classes and/or experience technical issues. If your student does not have and/or did not bring home his/her TMSA issued Chromebook device, feel free to use your home device to access virtual classes or contact your child's homeroom teacher to make arrangements to obtain a TMSA issued device this week.

The Fall Scholastic Book Fair is 100% virtual this week due to the campus closure. Click here for your student to virtually attend the Book Fair and browse hundreds of popular books to purchase. Proceeds from the Book Fair benefit The Main Street Academy.

Schoolwide Enrichment Model (SEM) clusters, both face-to-face and virtual, originally scheduled to start this Wednesday, October 20, 2021 are postponed until further notice.

Onsite COVID-19 testing administered by Mako Medical is canceled this week and will resume when the campus opens next week.

Regularly scheduled TMSA committee meetings, including Finance and Governing, will occur virtually this week. Visit tmsa.org for additional details.

TMSA students participating in afterschool sporting and band extracurricular activities will receive updates from their respective sponsors about practices and games this week.

We appreciate your patience and flexibility during this timeframe.

Thank you,

TMSA's Administrative Team
