An effective way to communicate as suggested in Leader in Me's Habit 5 lesson, is to have leaders communicate via email. TMSA students will investigate email effectiveness in groups of three or more. The Habit 5 lesson will prepare TMSA leaders to connect real-world applications by discussing how they can share their voice through emails. Leaders will be provided with a checklist of “How to write great emails.” Leaders can practice Habit 5 by communicating respectfully to be understood. Email is an important part of communication at school with teachers and classmates. Leaders are required to utilize a checklist each time they send an email to make sure they are communicating as thoughtful leaders.
