Fulton County Board of Education Accepted Three Back to School Scenarios

The Main Street Academy's Governing Board approved to adhere to and follow Fulton County Schools (FCS) fall 2020 re-opening plan once approved by the Fulton County Board of Education this summer.

The Fulton County Board of Education accepted three "Return to School Options" as presented by Dr. Mike Looney, FCS Superintendent, during the Work Session that occurred on June 11, 2020. With the 2020-2021 start date of August 10, the district has proposed three scenarios for opening schools:
  • Scenario One: All students and staff will report in our traditional face-to-face structure for instruction and work with modified social distancing and cleaning practices in place.
  • Scenario Two: Due to a recurrence or resurgence of COVID-19, the district will remain in a remote learning and remote work environment until clearance is given by public health officials.
  • Scenario Three: Fulton County Schools will adopt a new model for ongoing instruction and work that includes a blend of remote and in-person instruction.
The Main Street Academy is committed to providing our families and constituents with updates as they become available from FCS.
