The Main Street Academy’s Mission

At The Main Street Academy, all students will receive a challenging and enriching education from a dedicated and student-focused staff in partnership with highly involved parents. Students will leave The Main Street Academy with high expectations of themselves as they prepare for further education and become contributing members of their diverse communities.



2021 – 2022 School Year and COVID-19

The Main Street Academy is returning to face-to-face instruction on August 3, 2021 and will be following the 3-feet/6-feet mandate (3-feet social distancing inside the classroom and 6-feet social distancing outside the classroom). Currently, TMSA asks that all students, teachers, staff, and visitors wear masks on campus. TMSA will adhere to the Georgia Department of Public Health’s guidelines pertaining to COVID-19. TMSA’s 2021 – 2022 COVID- 19 Plan is forthcoming.



Important Dates

Sneak Peek (In-Person and Virtual) | Friday, July 30, 2021

The Sneak Peek is an opportunity for TMSA families to meet their students’ 2021 – 2022 assigned teachers(s) and see their assigned classroom(s). Carline tags required for morning and afternoon drop-off will be distributed during the Sneak Peek. Students are allowed to bring their school supplies to Sneak Peek to their designated homeroom teacher.


Two sessions are offered to accommodate TMSA families with multiple students, as well as offer adequate parking and social distancing.



Session I (all grade levels K -8) | 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Session II (all grade levels K – 8)) | 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.



To ensure adequate social distancing, a maximum of two persons per the same household are permitted to attend. Masking is required.

School Supplies

The official TMSA School Supply Lists, per grade level, are available to obtain via TMSA’s official school website.



Book Bag Policy

All students may carry a book bag of choice. Middle school students (6th-8th) must place their book bags inside their designated lockers, unless it is clear. Only clear book bags are permitted in the middle school classrooms. Elementary school students (K-5th) will continue to leave their book bags in a designated area in their homeroom.





The Main Street Academy is a uniform-mandated charter school. Uniforms must be purchased from TMSA’s official uniform vendors.  Read over TMSA’s Uniform Policy and learn more about what each grade level is expected to wear to represent our TMSA pride.


A Uniform Swap will be held at the Sneak Peek on July 30th. Please bring gently used uniforms to swap for other donated uniforms. Contact TMSA’s Parent Liaison, Jamil Pearson, for additional details.

2021 – 2022 Device User Agreement

TMSA students (grades K – 8) will have access to a Chromebook device as an instructional supplement. Parents/guardians may be required to sign and submit the 2021 – 2022 Device User Agreement.



Student Payments & Fees

We like to make things simple for parents and guardians. You can pay for field trips, fees and more with MySchoolBucks. You will need your student ID number to register. This will be given in homeroom to your student during the first week of school.


A $10 fee is required for Middle School scholars to obtain their lockers for the 2021 - 2022 school year. Locker fees may be paid electronically via MySchoolBucks.



School Breakfast and Lunch

As TMSA is a Title I school, all households are required to complete and submit the online 2021 - 2022 School Lunch Application (TMSA isn't accepting paper applications) to apply for the Free & Reduced Meal Program.



Infinite Campus

Infinite Campus provides access to information for all enrolled TMSA students. Information includes grades, attendance, assignments, and school announcements. Be sure to update your household’s current contact details (mobile number, email address, etc.) in Infinite Campus to ensure you receive school correspondence. TMSA students’ 1st semester 2021 – 2022 schedules will be available via Infinite Campus once they are released from Fulton County Schools prior to the first day of school, August 3 (the exact date/timeframe TBD). Contact TMSA’s Data Manager, Lashonda Liptrot, if you experience Infinite Campus issues.



TMSA's Policies and Code of Conduct

Before and After School Care

Security Check-in Process

TMSA's check-in policy is that parents, guardians, or listed authorized persons provide a current state-issued ID upon arriving to pick up a student.
