Mrs. Buckley- TAG Resource and SEM Coordinator
Mrs. Buckley- Talented and Gifted Resource and School Wide Enrichment Coordinator
Charity Buckley is an 9th year educator from a small town in southeast Georgia. Though she grew up in her younger years right outside of Atlanta, she calls the country home. She received her Bachelors degree in K-12 Health and P.E. at Georgia Southern University. In 2016, she completed her master's degree in K-8 Science and will begin her Specialists degree in Teacher Leadership this August.
She initially joined the TMSA family in 2012 as a Health and PE teacher and transferred into the classroom in 2013 where she taught Kindergarten and First Grade TAG for 4 years. She is returning to TMSA this year in a new role as the TAG Resource teacher and SEM Coordinator. In her time of service at TMSA, she has served as a Health and P.E. teacher, Athletic Director, Cheer Coach, and Board Ex-Officio member.
A day in her room is filled with student-centered hands on learning. Scholars think critically about real world situations and make connections to the world around them and the role they play within it. Though she prides herself on the success of her particular set scholars, you will often find her in collaboration with her colleagues as she strives to improve the teaching experiences of her teammates and learning experiences of each scholar in the building.
In her free time, Mrs. Buckley enjoys spending time with her family, serving in her church community, being outdoors, all sports (Lebron is the G.O.A.T.), reading, journaling, traveling, and being physically active. She is a continuing learner and values knowledge as a tool to take her anywhere in the world.
