Ms. Whetstone - 2nd Grade

Welcome to  2nd Grade at The Main Street Academy (TMSA)!  Ms. Whetstone is delighted to be your student’s homeroom teacher this year! While embarking on this great partnership, Ms. Whetstone also wants you to know about her, too.  She had the privilege of joining TMSA her 1st year teaching in 2014 as a 1^st grade teacher. She has taught Kindergarten for 5 years, as well as she has taught 1st grade for 2 years at TMSA.  This school year will be her 9^th year teaching at TMSA, and she has the privilege of teaching ELA (Reading/Writing) and Social Studies in 2nd grade for the second time!

Ms. Whetstone grew up in Jacksonville, Alabama. She attended and graduated from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University (AAMU) with a degree in Elementary Education. Ms. Whetstone is a new mother to a very charismatic 2 year old daughter named Logan! She is looking forward to an exciting school year!
