Juliana Jenkins - 6th Grade Life Science

Juliana Jenkins brings over 20 years teaching experience to The Main Street Academy where she has taught Life Science for the last 7 years. New to TMSA's 6th grade Team this year, Ms. Jenkins is excited to share her passion for Earth Science with students, as she holds a B.S. Degree in Geology from Georgia State University. Driven by a core philosophy that every child has the capacity to learn, Ms. Jenkins applies a student- driven, differentiated, constructivist approach to instruction in an effort to "meet students where they are" as they navigate their academic, social, and emotional journey into early adulthood. Valuing "process above product," Ms. Jenkins strives to help students develop strong cooperative learning skills, apply good decision making, and practice healthy risk taking, while building a lifelong passion for learning.

In addition to a B.S. Degree in Geology, Ms. Jenkins earned a minor in Biology from Georgia State University, holds Master Naturalist and Master Herpetologist certificates, and is a Certified Interpretive Guide.
